Our History
A new chapter — rooted in purpose, built for the future.
Founded in 2026 by a group of dance educators, parents, and community advocates who believed every child deserves access to the arts, MDC Cares launched with a clear mission: remove every barrier that keeps a young dancer off the stage.
In our first year, we are building the infrastructure — partnerships with local schools, a scholarship fund, and a growing roster of teaching artists — to reach hundreds of young dancers across the Madison region. Every dollar raised goes directly into the hands of the next generation.
We are just beginning, and that energy is intentional. MDC Cares was founded with urgency and optimism — because somewhere in this city, a kid is ready to dance, and we intend to be there.
